Season 2 is coming and a lot of information came in earlier today about what's expected! Make sure you go and pre-register your line id (not your profile display name, but the actual Line ID) where you can click "Go" to take you to a website to input that information. Doing so will qualify you for a Line Rangers toy drawing as well as the first "6-star" ranger we've seen: Assassin Brown! 100 rubies will also be given away. This is only valid if you enter between now and January 27, 2015 23:59 JST so make sure you do this if you want your prizes!
The updates look quite nice. The game is going to get some big updates to the game play and ranger selection. It's been over 6 months since we got new battle types so it would be nice to see some new flavor added to the game.
The biggest news is of course the introduction of 6 to 8 star rangers! We're breaking past the 5-star mold finally but I'm not sure how they're handling this game play. On the one hand, this for sure means that the new rangers will be beefier. Ont he other, it means that we probably need to spend a bunch of rubies to get the latest and greatest again -- of course we're used to this formula, but it doesn't mean we have to like it. I wonder how the "evolution" system will work. Will it finally make long-forgotten old rangers relevant and useful again? Is it possible to progressively combine and evolve our old rangers to keep making them competitive? I'd like to think so, but I have no idea how it will be!
And last but certainly not least, we'll finally see the last stage of Season 1, where we will rescue Sally at long last. After almost a year in captivity, we'll be reunited with our friendly fowl once again.
What will the story of Season 2 be about? We'll have to play to find out! Will you be playing Season 2? Are you excited? Do you have high expectations?
Definitely looking forward soon..maybe early next month we will see the new season?

DeleteEverything about this news is wonderful, except that all new rangers seem to be browns. Yeah we all love browns and I dont mind having more brown but I'd love to see some design creativity (some like Yello is great). Maybe we can finally have Sally ranger in season 2, now that she is supposed to be freed real soon?

ReplyDeleteIt depend on what kind of rangers do you have? If you have Carol at level 60, 132 is the best. Carol level 70 is 156 but longer to farm.
DeleteIf you don't have Carol, just try at 124 for fast farming and good coin earning, because 121-132 give you at least 3 star ranger, good for trading for coin.
If you don't have any premium ranger, try 88.
I have fisher brownie at 75 sorc connie mastered masked moon mastered and ellie mastered. I've been playing stage 120 because it seems like it gives decent exp i get close to about 25k exp (on double experience day with item 100% and exp booster and it takes only about 1 min 30 sec to clear)
Delete120 give you better exp and coin but it take longer than 124 about 4 time if you farm it by above team.
DeleteI think you can take down 124 in 30 sec just by spawning Fisher, Masked Moon and Allice.

Base on current rangers database:
Delete+ Thunder Brown has 1,938,423 HP; 22,962 Atk, Move slow; Cost 460
+ Xan stats: 1,960,576 HP; 18,633 Atk; Move fast; Cost 520
+ Masked Moon: 1,736,478 HP; 132,884 Atk; Move fast; Cost 480
So, Masked Moon is the best choice here, high HP to be good tank, high atk to be good atker.
Finally, an update of this sh**** and boring as hell game, this game was in decline so line decided to revamp the things up, I hope that they start to make this boring game more entertaining like doing good events not the same crap of getting useless rangers by playing like 300 times some fixed stages to be able to get 5 of that ranger and I hope they give something useful for reaching some achievements, like beat the last available stage or by defeating X number of bosses and more rubies for leveling up not the same s*** of 3 useless rubies for each level (from lvl 90 and up it takes to much time to increase the level so we deserve a better prize).

ReplyDeleteYou don't automatically get a Line ID. You need to create one. Go to your profile page within the Line App and create a line ID. Once u do that you can pre-register with your ID.

ReplyDeleteI'm slightly miffed that after we spent so much effort on the Xmas Rangers which were a smashing blowout to everyone else before, now they're nerfing everything by releasing 6-8 stars. I guess it was the only way to keep going up without completely unbalancing the original free rangers, but it's annoying.
ReplyDeleteI also don't like Assassin Brown. It shows that they're starting to steal other ideas for Brown and co, and I don't like that trend. Pokopang had Sailor Moon summons for a little while in another region, that was also kind of mehhh. Oh well. If they at least give us a way to master Assassin Brown, I'll take it.
Future is dim for the gacha though. I can see new gachas for the new star range, with higher costs to boot...
Knew this would happen sooner or later. Games of this type have to introduce higher grade characters at some point and make them exclusive/super hard to get in order to continue making revenue. Constant nerfing is part of this process.

ReplyDeleteIf you look closely at the at the picture above, it shows a kind of 5 star Clara evolving to a 6 star Clara. It's just a guess, but maybe the new evolution system consist in upgrading your maxed up ranger into a more powerful versión with more stars?

- Finally fullscreen support for Android
- Mephisto's camp is incredibly tough (as always) but I figure that their tower is not that bulky. So dont fight straight-up with the monster. I was able to make to the first boss stage after 5 or 6 feathers with mastered Carol + Halloween +lowbies. OH AND B TEAM IS AWESOME TOO
Those are some first impressions. LR just got so much more fun

DeleteActually, with the new balancing, the old rangers are all really strong. I got 5 star potions to master my Halloween Cony who's ultra buffed (1.4M damage?!?!?!) and now I'm working on Junior Cony who's at 79/80 but has 1.1M damage. To compare, mastered Kevin is 1.3M.
Yeah exactly, the people who bought Xmas rangers didn't buy them in vain. Even though I have a copy of each one except for Santa Moon, it's still going to take me weeks, if not months, to farm enough potions to master them. By then, the paying players will have advanced even more.

DeleteIt's not potion it's leonard and he comes in 1-6 stars depending on the stage you cleared on bonus level. the potion is material for evolution.
DeletePotion must be the same star as the ranger you combine with. For example, 4 star Beans needs 4 star Leonard, but 5 star Halloween Cony needs 5 star Leonard.
Delete4 star is basically only obtainable from the weak gacha and stages 3-4 of both areas in special stage, and 5 star can be obtained from the multigacha and stage 5 in both areas. Low drop rate though.

ReplyDeleteps some rangers got buffed and modified. carol and rudolph got their cost reduced, while cherina got beefed, but cost increased. we'll have to wait for a full list
also rangers now have abilities. haven't tried them but i've seen it in thunder brown, who is available for evolution.
Carol is no longer the ultra tank that he used to be, and no longer almost guarantees PvP wins, but he's still damn strong.
DeleteMost rangers got balanced out so their costs are comparable to their hp/damage. For example, MT Brown now costs 900 but went up to like 6-7M HP - Somchai is no longer a gimp version of MT Brown.
Cooldown across the board seems to have been slowed down a bit, especially speed rangers. I have to figure out new strats for that now because 1 mastered speed ranger is not a good wall anymore. The Thai people will research it far more indepth I'm sure.
Carol is almost never the one who does my team in, even before S2 - it's Yello, always Yello. Was she never nerfed down for PvP or something? She seems stronger than Carol by a LOT.

ReplyDeletefor those who are clueless, the bonus stage gives out leonard which can help master rangers now. this is probably the biggest improvement made to the game you just need to get the new ranger once through gacha.
ReplyDeleteWow, they buffed up Red Sand Hill! I was attempting state 169 today and it was crazy. The bird with the bucket has increased range. One throw of the bucket can kill all the lowbies + Soco/Sorco/Red Cony!! This is even greater range than Carol!

I grinded 168 briefly to get a Frog Brown for my collection and it was far harder. I assume Red Sand Hill got buffed accordingly, but Mephisto's Camp and Space Station are all easily beaten with the same strategies (build level 8 minerals, get 3-4 big splashers out, tornado+ice, then use invincible+meteor to hold them at their tower to splash it down). I assume Red Sand Hill goes basically the same way now.
DeleteDisclaimer: I haven't beaten 204 yet, I'm waiting to 100% the treasure before trying again. That level cheats and throws a HUGE number of enemies non stop at Hurry Up...
After spend more than 6 hours with LR season 2, here is my opinion:
ReplyDelete+ LR now is fairer for free player than before, we could master the past limited ranger by collecting "level up item" in special stages, of course nothing is really free, 2 feathers per time, and drop rate is so low, free player has to pay ton of time to get this.
+ Seoson 2 bug:
1) Team B could bring the same ranger with team A, so who has two mastered Carol, Fisher.... bring them on. I regretted to use 5 spare Rudolph, MT Brown, Fisher Brownie as combination material before.
2) James Friend has added but LR will be crashed when we visit James Team home screen, we couldn't go out after that.
Oh whoa, I never thought of having 2 mastered rangers for team A/B use. I have 9 spare Santa Moons, maybe I'll master him again for use. I've been using Mach Brown on my second team but he's too expensive now.

1. The Master Leonard (?) - leonard in a red suit.
I picked him up in a Secret Stage. He acts like a max level booster for any ranger (but supposedly only works with 5 stars).
E.g. you can use him to combine MT Brown (lvl 60) -> MT Brown (lvl 65).
This is great news! Essentially it means you don't have to grind/pray for the same ranger to get Master status. Although you still have to grind the Secret Stages for Master Leonard.
2. Bug with Tornado.
I was in team battle. And the AI had 2 guys used the new skill. First is some Shield power (?). Not really sure. But then there was a tornado skill (which looks really cool and different from the regular tornado). So I used my tornado quickly, and it didn't work. The enemy rangers just stood still for a few seconds (e.g. when you click Tornado and before the tornado hits), then continued moving into my Tower. And I lost that round. :(
Just hit lvl 96. And there was a pleasant surprise: Mineral rate and mineral max upgrade only cost 97 K each. Before the upgrade, they cost almost 400 K and I was saving up all my feathers and playing like crazy on double gold bonus day.
DeleteOk I'm a little confused. So with the new update there are skills which rangers can obtain once they reach the Max stars or mastered + Max stars? Also for example if u get a Trainee Brown 6 stars and master by levelling it up with 4 other trainee browns (level 100) then evolve it to vagabond brown 7 stars then would it still be mastered? Is it useless to master a ranger before evolving it? If so is it always better to evolve rangers first before attempting to master them? I'm really hoping that you'd get to keep those mastered levels when you evolve or else making an 8 star mastered ice brown will be a nightmare from hell sacrificing/evolving 4 vagabond browns..

DeleteRangers skill is only available when he reachs to maximum grade not need to be master level at that grade. Ex: 5* ranger will has skill when he is promoted to 8*... and so on for the others.
DeleteYou dont need to combine 6 7 8 star rangers. you just need to max the level and have ingredients for evolving.
DeleteI evolved my 1 star Bella into 2 star Tarzan Bella. My 1 star Bella vanished and became a level 1 (of 30) non upgraded 2 star Tarzan Bella. So if you go the evolution route, you will need 5 of any given version. 5 6-star Browns = 1 7-star, then 5 7-stars = 1 8-star.

Here are the changes I've noticed:
1. Meteors strike your team after each wave. The damage may also be scaled based on the wave? (unconfirmed)
2. The points and XP given are now different compared to before -- at around 600K points you get 11-12K XP and there seems to be a ceiling of 19.2K XP (which I get after aroud 1.6 million points and also on 2 million points). Others scoring higher may be able to verify.
3. The cooldown time is "normal" -- it used to be prolonged in Endless Mode compared to normal.
4. Monsters hit like a truck now -- don't expect to necessarily get past the same wave you were used to getting past before.
5. Team A/B switching obviously works in Endless Mode

Due to the Meteor Strikes, it seems like high-HP rangers are a must. Having 50+ mastered SoCo won't survive some of the Meteor Strikes at later waves, so building them might be potentially useless if you plan on getting past Wave 10.

Can you let me know your ranger team to hit wave 10? I barely pass the 500k mark.
DeleteIt is actually more about the strategy than the team -- I have a ranged and ranged-splash heavy team, which I build up -- by the time you get the to wave 8 (the creepy girl and big skull worm guy), you should stop putting out melee/tanks and burn down the bad guys.
DeleteThe reason to stop building melee is because wave 9 has those stupid triangle-head guys that hit the entire screen, which will kill all your ranged attackers.
After that, when you get to wave 10 (the green muscle guy), he also hits your entire screen. From this point on, it gets messy for me, and I start using the power-ups, and then slowly lose... haha. I can't pass wave 10.
Thank you i switched to fisher brownie, sol, masked moon, lia, and xan and on auto it reaches wave 10 with no problem without power ups.
DeletePVP are so crazy boring now, the new strengthen item is killing all the playing skill of player, AI uses item as crazy and unfair, it seem to be much stronger than us, just by one strengthen meteor hit, it could almost sweep out all the entire army of us.

ReplyDeleteTo beat level 5 or 6, you should have 2 lowbies (Ex: Rei, Santa Moon) in team, spamming them to prevent attack of those guard tower.

DeleteI have a weak team to start for exp gain with Mach Brown mastered and a Master James that's like 80/90. The rest are junk rangers. I deploy Mach Brown, 1 James, level minerals and keep spamming Brown, then switch teams when available - my main team is Halloween, Kevin, Carol, KF Brown, Santa Moon. Spam Santa Moon, KF Brown, and then Kevin+Halloween. You need long ranged attackers to take towers faster, Carol is pretty useless early on.
DeleteWith this I take the first tower and meet them in the middle. Depending on where they are, I tornado them back before they take the middle tower, which lets me take the middle tower and start hitting theirs. If they haven't taken the middle tower or haven't reached it, I save tornado (saves me 500g!). When I start fighting their last tower, I use ice to freeze them so I can take their tower faster and start wailing on their forces. After this just spam all rangers and it's an easy win. No need for the other items if you have strong splashers, otherwise use items to ensure your win. You make more than enough money back from winning anyway.
i'm level 81 and i have a mastered lia, soco, masked moon, fisher brownie and i tried rei as a lowbie, i get pushed back so hard because the monsters just EAT me up. maybe i should treasure hunt or level up?

Lastly, be grateful with what LR give to us. I only will stop playing LR if we need to pay to enter new level. Want to perform in Battle just spend the money.
Finally, I did master Beans by combining with leveling up 4* Dr. Leonard.

Leonard has two type: the yellow one is for ranger's combining exp and the red one for level up non mastered ranger if u dont have that same ranger, it work same with combining 2 same ranger (+20% stats; +5 level).
DeleteThe red Leonard has star in above his head, 4 meants for non mastered 4 star ranger onle, 5 for 5 and big star for 6, 2 big star is only obtained from 5+1 Gacha.
So if you combine your ranger with differ star Leonard, it wouldn't work and noctice u about combining same kind.

ReplyDeleteas far i understand, you would get a 100 (1/4) 7 star ranger, and in order to get it to 8 star it would require you to go 120 (4/4)
DeleteSo to get the 7star u need four 6stars, in total 8stars (to get the ability) you need to farm 12 6 stars from the bonus stage. I guess thats quite fair, at least besides the rangers you can get Leonard as well. Leonard is probably what is gonna keep the players playing, it's what most of the players have been begging for the past year.
DeleteTo get 7 star you need FIVE 6 stars. So painful, but you can get 6 star Dr Leonards from stage 6 of special stages. The 8 stars are the real problem, and that's probably where the gacha (and people with big wallets) comes in.

To look on the bright side, you just need to continue to grind and pray to Lady Luck. Compared to the past where you have to pay to get the best, the developers are finally heading towards the right direction to getting powerful rangers. It is not 100% a need to pay money, money is only for those who want a shortcut. Also you still can collect rubies weekly/daily to play gacha and get a chance tolay your hands on 7-8 stars. The 8 stars look really cool though, especially Ice Brown. I wonder what other awesome rangers we will have in the future.

ReplyDeleteIt is either they used a mod, or they simply consume the bonus 10 feathers per week that they have collected as a Monday bonus before it expires.

I am still quite sure most of them used mods.
It's pretty simple, you just have TONS of friends constantly sending feathers. Use thousands of FP a day to buy feathers. Even Panic was saying she spun the friend gacha hundreds of times for Fisher Brownie. I don't have anywhere near that many active friends, but still, that's the idea.

You dont need a battery pack, or no need for recharging 2 or 3 times your device, what you need is to get a life, go outside and meet real people and stop wasting your life on a worthless mobile game, hahhaah spending many hours for what, at the end you will get nothing.

DeleteJust a thought, but now with the idea of giving people 5 gems for every mastered ranger does bias a little bit towards people with the old time limited rangers. I'll never get Erica, Driver Cony, Ola Brown, Rider Edward, etc, so it's at least slightly unfair... Guess I can't complain TOO much about 20 gems compared to what I can possibly earn with some effort, but still.

i'm assuming you get a lv 1 every time you evolve. keep that in mind.

The above method works for all rangers that can evolve. Just substitute the ranger you want to obtain in.
Basically you need...
1 - Master 5 x of the Ranger you want to obtain with a skill
2 - Farm tons of materials daily especially 5 times for stages 4-6
3 - Evolve your 5x Mastered Rangers & Combine to make a Superior Skilled Ranger
Btw save 'Max Level Up Leonards' specifically to increase rangers who you've already Evolved and are able to use unique Skills.
Examples: Assassin Brown (6 Star), Pink Cony (6 Star, Black Moon (5 Star), Fashionist Bella (4 Star), etc.
Or else use them on gacha rangers you only need 1 more of to master them. Seems like a waste to upgrade a ranger you can't master for a while or doesn't have any skill. Example: I used my 5 Star Max Up on my Level 75 Carol Edward to Master him finally! :D

I got an assassin brown, and his skill is combo punches, which just makes him attack twice in a row quickly (basically 1 free extra attack). He's only level 55/80, but it goes off onily once and not every time I summon him. I'll test more when he can actually stay alive to attack, haha.
DeleteI used all my 6 star Leonards on master James (who is 95/95 for now), so brown will have to wait a while, but then again, I think his skill is not good enough to bother with.
Also, 500k attack and 2m HP seems to be about standard for all non premium 5 stars at this point. Heck, there are a LOT with 1m attack, surprisingly... The main problem is just that older rangers all moved really slowly, so it's tough to want to bring back ones like thunder brown, Sol, masked moon, etc. Heck, even premiums like Dwight and chichi with 1m attack and 8m life aren't useful because of their move speed.

First, 6 and 7 star James have no skill because they didn't reach to final grade (8 star class), so to unlock his skill, you must master 7 star James first then the evolve him to final grade.
DeleteSecond, to get super items, you must save Sally by clearing 192 and then you jump into space station from 193, super items will be unlocked automatically.

DeleteDarn combo punches sounded pretty sweet, but knowing what it does now i'm not too impressed -.-...Hoping he uses it more frequently and gets stronger as you level him up to super master, but the skill doesn't really seem worth it compared to others like shield, tornado, etc.
DeleteThat's the problem i'm having too...I'm slowly progressing through the space station, but it seems like melee rangers only purpose is to run up to the front lines only to be screwed by a wave of giant drills. The faster they run and more HP they have the better to keep the drillers busy while your splashers slowly peck away at the enemy base and knock out a few drillers while they're at it. Any close combat ranger with less than 10m HP or slow movement must have a death wish. All ranged rangers especially splashers are amazing like the cactus bird or the green/blue aliens on steroids if we could ever work out an alliance.

You need the Max Level (Mastered) Ranger then get the materials to Evolve them to be able to use the Special Skills, and you unlock the upgraded powerups after you rescue Sally and defeat Mephisto on stage 192 (stage before the space station).

Late game you realize the small collection of useful rangers there are especially when they're not mastered. Any health, speed, balanced, melee or splash ranger close combat that's slow, has less than 10m HP, or low atk already has a gravestone with their name on it.
Even Carol Edward with 11M HP dies in one hit to the drill guys, so it's extremely painful to mess up item activation timing. Strategy for basically all of space station is to bum rush their tower with splashers because you cannot survive the normal enemies. 204 in particular is extremely insane because after Hurry up they just throw NONSTOP enemies at you.
DeleteYou can feel it out in 193-199, but after 200 you need a team of strong splashers or else it's 100x harder. I usually have a weak team to level up as my starting team, but for 204 I had to put on my 60 Red, 60 Yellow, 62 Red Hood Cony for extra splash to win.
That's exactly the problem I'm facing right now haha. The only useful splash rangers I have are mastered Carol Edward, Songster Cony and Opera James. I accidently sold my Sorcerer Cony which I regret so much, and I never got Red, Red Hood Cony, Halloween Cony, Erica or even KSM from gacha. I managed to get a Vagabond Brown and a few other 6/7 stars James, Can, Etc. But they're pretty much useless as well since they don't have a skill, and both atk and run at a turtles pace.
DeleteUnfortunately my splashing power isn't strong enough to take out the tower fast enough while temporarily tying up the drillers with powerups and heavy tanks, so the towers left standing with less than a quarter HP and the drill army reawakens and steam rolls my entire ranger team until my base is up next. I'm slowly getting Max Ups and materials though so hopefully I'll be able to clear 200 soon and get the almighty space station treasure! ��
I'm sure it can be done with less, but as a marker for me (and I struggled a bit) was that I used mastered Halloween, Edward, kf brown, 60 red, 60 yellow, 62 red hood cony for splashing. I also had a high level master James but he was basically useless. With this, I barely killed it as my invincibility ran out, and the boss only died a second or so before the tower did. If you let them attack you at ALL after all the items, you've basically lost because the drill guy will wipe out all the closer splashers instantly.

Saving your maxed level up Leonard's is a good idea. But We would need a 6 star one if we want to level up Assassin..I haven't come across a 6 star one yet. Maybe I'll get one later

Special for the newbies, they has to collect 1, 2 and 3 star rangers first, think about it so amazing, because even among 3 star class, mastered Elle, Summer Cony, Tiger... could help them to go further on story mode.

His skill is owesome, when he is being attacked, he become invincibily in 8sec. I think at master lv he could become a unbeatble tank at the front to destroy 192 for those who do not have good platinum meat tank.
That's not very useful when he dies in one hit though. The long arm guys in 196 and on can even kill Carol Edward in one hit... Also, I'm having really bad luck with Bella drops, ugh. Have you tested how often his skill activates? I've been playing with Black Moon and Assassin Brown and their skills never seem to go off more than once per game - plus they can be interrupted.
DeleteI'm more a fan of Black Moon's power up ability. Hide the long activation time behind invincibility and he destroys in PvE AND PvP. Now I wish I hadn't wasted my 6 star Leonards on Master James...
Hmm, never mind. The same Black Moon can activate more than once. I just got it off twice in one PvP match. Maybe these skills are way more useful than I thought.

ReplyDeleteMore than a month without playing so with this new update tried to play somes stages using my old buddies and I beated all the stages even the spaceship ones, hahahha that stages are so easy, I'm at lvl 98 with mineral limit/production at lvl 98 and tower + missile at level 90 so my team was a Red 80/80, Sorcerer Cony 80/80, Santa Moon 60/60 and Lucifer cony 80/80, so I beated all the stages without using any evolved ranger and without even a master level, just the same old 98 player lvl.
