Happy Halloween!
It's end of October/Beginning of November so of course we can't be without more new rangers.
They have continued the Halloween Gacha theme, but it's slightly changed. Instead of a hefty 200 rubies, you spend 150 and get a guaranteed chance to obtain either a 4-star or a 5-star ranger, effectively weeding out all 3-star rubbish ranger results. The yield is now "8+2" for a total of 10 rather than "10+3" for a total of 13. The price per spin is technically better this time (by a fraction, at 15 rubies per spin), but with the number of rangers consistently rising, the odds of you getting the couple of rangers you really need continue to diminish with time.
This month, the limited ranger is "Red" who is apparently an "Angry Bird." Honest to goodness, I don't know what Angry Birds is about because I've never downloaded the game, but I've briefly seen other people play it. It's a totally different genre from Line Rangers, so this is a strange collaborative event between the two games. And being a Limited Ranger, Red is pretty powerful. He has a *TON* of HP but he's going to need it because he's ultra-close range to the enemy. He's on a very long cooldown as well. Check him out:

By the way, if you read the notice carefully, for the rest of November, there will be other Angry Birds events which will grant more of their characters to Line Rangers players. Pretty cute!
I was initially excited to see the splash screen include a new Jessica, but when I saw what she was I'm completely underwhelmed. I wanted her to be 5-star and very powerful. I think, as many of the readers have expressed, a powerful Jessica ranger is very much overdue. We've pretty much never had a super desirable Jessica. I know, back in the generation 1 days of LR, Charismatic Jessica was a dangerous kitty, and when Warrior Jessica was placed into the map as a free obtainable ranger, it was indeed a big deal and a huge help to the free ranger players. But it's been months since she was relevant in the least. Come on, we want OP Jessica! A 4-star premium health ranger with only 2.2M health with pretty much negligible attack in today's standards... is pretty useless. Driver Brown was free and he sports 2.4M health and costs less. I really don't see the point. Sorry, Jessica :( LINE made you just as a punching bag for Kung Fu Brown (see her description).

Okay... since, apparently, the LR developer heard my plea on your recent update (yes, I'm the one suggesting op jess, james, boss etc), I need to be specific, LR developer, I've decided that I won't spend any rubies UNTIL you created a very OP, very desirable Jessica! With great design and, AND , SHE HAS TO BE SUPER OP! THE CAT DESERVES IT! Or at least until a new Edward ranger is out. An op Edward I mean. I need Jess!!! We all need a new Jess!!! Make a new Jess!!!
ReplyDeletei guess i must have the worst luck ever out of all the players...just spend a bit on rubies (+46) to get to 150 rubies...spun the 150 gacha....and not one of the new rangers came out!!!!!!!!!! with the exception of kinnara cony and ksm, the rest are rangers which are farmable!! wtf is this?????? this is really ridiculous to the max!!! only consolation is i got 1 more kinnara cony and she now is mastered level....but seriously the developers should do something to the gacha....this made my blood boil to the max!! wtf again!!
ReplyDeleteThe worst luck?? hahahaah dont think so man, since Kinnara Cony and MuayThai Brown Came out I have spent 1050 rubies and got 0 kinnaras and 1 MauyThai Brown, yes 0 kinnaras and today Im still waiting my kinnara, so man dont talk about bad luck, since my first day playing LR I spent like 1700 rubies and until today I never mastered a single premium ranger (the ones that cant get from stage clears) finally I got 1 more hitman so Hitman is my only premium ranger that I achieved a Master level.

Yea u are right! Farmable ones should not be inside the gacha, and the developers should design a gacha system which will not let u draw rangers that u have already mastered...but this will not be possible since the developers will want us to spend more money to get the rangers we want :(

I spinned my 150 yesterday and the result was hilarious. Only one Kung-fu Brown and one Kung-fu Jessica. The others were all useless repeats like Cobe, Ellin, etc.
Of course, those were all free rubies and such a result should discourage anyone to waste any money. If they want me to spend any single cent on this stupid system... Well, they can wait until they die of old age.

DeleteUsed free rubies to spin the 8+2. Got 3 new 5star rangers each. They are not as op as the last bunch IMO, partly because they all stack too closely to the front.

DeleteRed's stats have been boosted by A LOT. He's now hitting 500K DPS at Master while having 6 million HP. His range is crazy, maybe on par with Edwards'. Definitely worth it IMO.
Deletered is the new edward and way cuter. really tempted but the other new rangers are meh. im pretty sure the new rangers coming out for christmas will be more OP and probably be all 5 stars so I'm saving my rubies for december. I am also disappointed by Jessica.

DeleteSo in few words Red is the best tank right now, cheaper than the useless Somchai and almost the same damage as Chichi but is a splash ranger with a great area of damage (AoE) so he has more damge than any other splash ranger including Halloween Cony, and Kung Fu Brown with more than 1M HP and 183K of splash damage at only 330 minerals is the new and better Cherina, so with those rangers and the BEST GACHA EVENT until today it really worth to spend a lot of rubies on this, but if a lot people dont want to, better for me because less people will get Red so it means I will not encounter a lot of people with the invincible Red in the Team Battle =)

Deletelol Red is not that OP. Junior Cony is a long ranger version of Mully, her DPS and range is better than all the attack rangers for her cost. I got her mastered (300k+ DPS) and can spam an army in a few seconds before your stupid red bird can touch her HAHA! She is not OP but very useful and better than Mully. AllI need is MT JC and HC to rape my opponents even if they have red bird.

Displayed attack on the profile is actual dps before treasure bonuses are applied. It already takes into account ranger's listed attack speed.
DeleteSecondly, all this talk about which limited Rangers are good or bad is completely subjective because it is essential, especially in pvp, to look at the support the limited Rangers have from the rest of its team. Based on their ranges and attack types, these Rangers are mostly apples-to-oranges. One on one limited ranger debate is really quite fruitless discussion. Junior Cony in particular can be lethal if a group of them are fronted by solid tanks because single target Rangers have a higher attack quotient than splash in pvp ; halloween Cony's speed and mid range attack, as well as wide area of effect is still pretty op if left unchecked to hang out behind tanks. And if you don't single-target down Red tanking your opponent, you'll soon have a hoard of angry birds pummeling down your front line. They all have their niches. The most lethal teams are the ones who play up their best available ranger with teammates that let them shine. This week I dipped my feet back into current pvp and I've been very impressed with some team compositions who don't even have cutting edge Rangers.
But please, dont take it wrong, It seems like a fight but Im not fighting I only want to make a point, and help others to see that JuniorCony is not as good as you and others tries to make us believe, yes she has good attack damage for her long range, but her low healthis the problem here, combine that with his ultra high movement speed and you get a bad ranger, a ranger who always will put himself in the danger zone dying in seconds because she cant survive 1 attack of Red or Halloween Cony, so there is no point even Maestro Boss or Prince James or Dancer King Boss are still better than Junior Cony, because them have ultra long attack range so they ALWAYS are safe from all the attacks (obviously with good tanks helping them in the front line).

Candy attack speed is very fast and red is very slow so candy attack you can say twice more compare to red so candy attack would be 2 x 500k = 1 mill and red is 500k is that right?

ReplyDeleteall new rangers have been buffed. especially RED has been decreased in cost from 13xx to 11xx. His damage has been increased by 60% from 320k to 500k splash. His Area of effect is enough to reach HalloCony now. And if im not wrong, his Cooldown has been reduced aswell. So finally u have it - a new SUPER OP Ranger that makes even HalloCony look week.... THIS IS GETTING RIDICULOUS!!!

I don't mind the trend of making new rangers stronger, but they can't keep making the new levels so strong that you NEED premium rangers to advance. It ruins the game for free players.
DeleteThe inflation pattern of stronger rangers will keep up the pace because that's how Line makes money... people are ready to blow big bucks on this game (especially those PVPing), but only if the rangers are worth it. Red has been buffed massively so now people want to buy it. Next month, we'll have another OP char that will make all others rangers except Red/HalloCo useless... and it will sell like hot bread.

But the update pace for LR is rather fast - Aug OP ranger Edward is now far behind Red from November - that's only 2/3 months ago. Erica from Sept has been blown into the water by HalloCO from Oct - so 1 month lifetime.
If you spend on Red this time, you can be sure he'll be outdated in 2 months time, so... play smart, spend only a bit of money if you want/must, but don't get caught in the system!

Anonymus 1, the 5star double chance event supposedly works in the 20, 100 and 150 Gacha, but maybe not, they never said it clear and as we know we cannot trust if something has not been clearly expressed, some important points, 1) they said that the Double Chances for a 5star are for the premium Gacha and if you look only the 20 and 100 Gacha said Premium. 2) in the gacha "room" only the 20 and 100 Gacha has the Event banner, the 150 Gacha only says Limited.

Yeah, I think so and that is why I wondered a lot, the expensive gacha only give out 4 and 5* rangers but it doesn't mean drop rate of 5* better than the premium event gacha. But it is named "Angry Bird Special Gacha", so I should reconsider it again if it is special designed for new release rangers, even with low drop ratio of Red. So I really want to know about the spinning result of each people here.
DeleteEven I'm a free player, I got one Candy Cony on last month event at 10+3 Gacha on the last event day. It helps me to earn 80 rubies from PVP today. Then I have 104 rubies now, I am really confusing to used it in this double chance event or keep them until 17th when I manage it to 300 rubies then use them at that time.
Okay. This game becoming more more more boring and disgusting. The only way to be a pro in here actually quiet simple: BAJILLION MONEY. I mean it's not like another game that free user still can defeat the paid user with skill. Like I said, you don't need skill in LR, just money. I never spent any cash on it so I'm never getting too upset when I don't get limited rangers (my only limited ranger just Jr. Cony lvl 65). Yea, I know your feeling when you just get crap rangers even you already spent some cash. So let LR developer read all of our comments and fix this system if they still didn't want they loyal spender gone as fast as OP rangers becoming dust in just few months.

DeleteI never spent money in this game too, and my Gacha "machine" works weird since Im playing this game I got all the limited rangers only once, doesnt matter if I spin once or twice or three times the gacha I only got 1 limited ranger every time, Im playing since the last days of July so I never has a chance to got Susu, so I started with 1 Edward, then I got 1 Erica, then 1 Driver Cony, then I got 1 Junior Cony and 1 Halloween Cony too and in the last months I barely got the new rangers so instead the Gacha kept giving me the old rangers (Gentleman James, Luke, Luis, Charismatic Jessica, Rapper Boss) mostly the ones who are in the collection pages and never got them, but now my Gacha "machine" was fixed and now I got 4 Reds and all the november rangers, so Im working hard in the PVP to get enough rubies to do at least 2 more 8+2 Gachas in order to get my last Red and make him Master.
Benito, where did u get 4 Reds? In 8+2 Gacha or in 5+1 premium gacha?
DeleteThe funny thing is that I got Red in both of them, 2 from the 8+2 and 2 from the 5+1, but in the 8+2 I did 2 spins, in the first one got 2 Reds in the second one 0, and in the 5+1 got 1 in each spin.

ReplyDeletei was curious about how the whole PvP scheme plays out so i decided to do a small experiment myself. i want to compare the amount of ruby given as the prize with the amount of ruby players need to spend. and i find that for rank 350 and below the prize is basically nothing since players need to spend much more rubies than that.
i spent 200 rubies last week and i landed at #360 with 8012 score. the 200 rubies prize covers that so i pretty much got nothing last week. the #1 player has 67000+ score if i'm not mistaken and that roughly puts the rubies spent at.. 4500 perhaps. far exceed the 1000 rubies prize.
i know there's a certain pride in landing that #1 spot but at the end of the day i just have to ask myself, does it all worth it?
i'm not judging those who chose to spend their time, energy, and money to pursue it and saying that they should have put that to the so-called better cause.
i'm just wondering whether it's possible for us players to band together against this PvP scheme and system by not spending rubies at all to buy the extra special feathers.
by doing that it would ensure us players get the most out of the ruby prize and that would force the team behind this game to think of a better mechanics for this PvP battle to make it more engaging, more user-oriented and not so much money-oriented.
but of course to each their own. how players spend their rubies is entirely up to their own. i'm just concerned about how the system takes advantage of player's competitiveness for their own benefit. i get that in the end business is business and its main purpose is to make money but i still believe there are other ways to do it.
Means u never read the interview with no 1 on this blog. They actually prepare 2000 rubies to stay on top, totally not interested in the prize. U ask me why? me dunno
DeleteI am also puzzled why people are willing to spend on pvp feathers to get top spot when the prize they get cannot even cover their cost. Not forgetting some of them still spend additional rubies on Gacha machine to get the latest limited ranger. Simply don't make sense in economic views.

But Susu was available for 13 days only, less than Red the angry bird, but Red being so OP is understandable that LR release him for only 2 weeks, the same happened with HalloweenCony and is similar to the halloween theme because now is the Angry Bird theme so we will receive a lot of Birds this month and maybe they will release another limited ranger in november 18, something similar when the toyota yaris event was on a few weeks ago (Driver Cony), maybe it will be another Angry Bird Ranger or maybe a Christmas Ranger.

I was like you some months ago when MuayThaiBrown, Erica and Kinnara came out, my team of free rangers and some non mastered premium rangers was nothing against those rangers and I couldnt reach a good rank because my tank in that moment (Masked Moon) was nothing against MuayThai Brown and I couldnt improve my lineup because the Gacha keeps giving me only crap and useless rangers, but a couple of weeks later Driver Brown came to the rescue and with him I managed to climb up in a good rank position, but yes you are right, is truly ridiculous how fast LR team are increasing the power of the rangers and if you dont spend a lot of money or your luck in the gacha is not great you are doomed.
Delete@op I think you all are doing a good job highlighting that already. It's all been said repeatedly by people. Slowly but surely they hear us. For example the getting rid of 3 star ranger from premium gacha has been an outcry for months. Now we have the special gacha as a result.
DeleteAfter the buffing up, red is now the most op ranger at the moment. The range is so crazy and the cool down time is quite short compare to other op rangers. Mastered red is the ban of everything. The dream line up for pvp, stages and infinity mode would be mastered MT brown and red at the front, with mastered candy co, junior co and dkb/maestro boss in the back.

DeleteStreak of 5 or more grants slightly higher pt. Beyond that, pts are based on score differences. If you win someone who has similar score, you gain less than if you defeat a much higher score opponent.
DeleteBasically, as Panic said but from 1,800 score if you lose one battle you lost 12 points then you gain 12 points for each winning battle from 1st to 4th, then 13 point for each battle from 5 to 9th, then only 14 points for each battle from the 10th no matter your component stronger or weaker than you.

When limited new ranger event happened, I never got any limited ranger. ;( I think develop they want my money so much. if new limited ranger happen again, I'll keep my rubies about 600 - 800 rubies for this event. (I guess that will come on christmas) And if I fail to get new limited ranger again, I'll surrender this game and delete it away from my phone. Because I hate the developer this game they create unfair to me.

I am not sure about 8+2 Gacha, but I did get all rubbish rangers from 5+1 Gacha on Monday by free rubies from daily and PVP.
DeleteRed is the new and stronger kinnara cony (with shorter cd and larger splash area). When kinnara cony came out just a few months ago I was like wow this ranger is so strong but not they are making the previous rangers so pointless that its not worth keeping anymore. With this pace they are introducing new rangers with so overpowered stats, it just doesnt seem worth for me to spend rubies anymore now since chances are in a few months down the road some new rangers will just overtake the previous ones by like 20-30% stats stronger. It's fine for those who pvp. But I hope they nerf wasteland. It's so impossible with old rangers who become more and less obsolete now.
ReplyDeleteAt the same time, Kinnara is permanently available for the future, while Red is not. I think she's still strong enough to handle Wasteland, but I don't have my own to know for sure. If so, she's always a welcome result from double gacha odds.

ReplyDeleteMostly use glenn and redbrown as two "tanker", accompanied by sorccon and one other splasher (ksm,songster,erica,halcon,etc, whoever you have best)
Think I finally get it. Composition might vary but the "phase" (or flow) of the battle must be studied thoroughly. Most videos go like this:
Delete- Phase 1: spamming lowbies and a few splashers while leveling up mineral. Surely the enemies will plough their way to our tower easily. Use a tornado when they reach Sally
- Phase 2: use ice/meteor/invinc in turn (NOT simultaneously!) and spawn attackers only (you still have 7, 8 lowbies/tanks in front ofc)
- Phase 3: start making lowbies/tanks right before the last item wears off so the monsters wont OHKO your precious band of socos. If you time it correctly, Thomas might appear as they kill a stack of whichever front rangers instantly, which creates another chance to inflict further damage
Now that they have been considerably hurt (maybe 25% health left for the birdheads), lets hope that you could kill them before they do. Even at this point it's still difficult especially that berry dudes
I beat 148 at lvl 75 player with mastered SoCo, lvl65 Candy (dont have mastered Songster/Opera), 2 lowbies + lvl60 Kungfu Brown (I dont prefer Driver since he got OHKO when the enemies stack up anyway)
I'm not planning on detailing the stages anymore. The videos are plentiful and very good. If you can't replicate the behavior on the videos even with the same exact team, the things to note are usually specifics like location of the critical battle (where ice shot, meteor and invincibility are used), when lowbies are starting/stopping. And if you feel like something isn't right, try counting the number of enemy units and boss units come out on the video and compare to your actual stage experience. Some stages have a slight randomization of enemy unit generation (therefore you may not be able to exactly duplicate videos, you might just have to restart stage until you get lucky with the enemy formation) while some stages always form enemies exactly the same way. It is also possible that stages have been tweaked since the video came out. Compare successful videos that you want to mimic with videos that came out more recently and see if the stage has been altered.

DeleteRemember, non-master rangers cost lower mineral than mastered one, even the cooling time is twice longer but with good strategy: mix rangers, item used at right time, strong friend reinforcement...
My best rangers until now is Halloween Cony lv 60, I amost won all the battles (until today, just lost 1 after 105 winning chain and now in the middle of 48 battles winning).
Of course you can win so many PvP beccause you got halloween cony, those who spend and did not get any Halloween or Red, like I did, 10+3 and *+2 Gacha, mostly farmable or those obsolete 5 stars rangers, got one USELESS Thunder Cony...go to hell with this game..

DeleteChuck the Yellow Bird is finally here, I got my first Chuck after 12 feathers, Speed type, moves faster than MuayThai Brown but a bit slower than Mach Brown, 190 Mineral cost, really cheap.

How are you comparing an apple to orange? Chuck and Cony have different roles in the team. Sure I can see that Chuck is slightly better among the speed rangers, but without decent 5 star splash rangers to back him up, I doubt you be able to use him good for fights.

I've been farming 108 because I can autoplay it with only 2 good rangers on my team and level up 3 other ones for fun (playing around with Sol and Xan for now). Maybe I'd have better luck on higher levels. Really looking forward to having a mastered one because I never got mastered HipHop or even Thunder Brown.

DeleteI'm still at low level.. i've been playing about 60 feathers on level 36, 50, 60 to get chuck, but never get it even once. Is it really not available on low levels? While i'm thinking chuck would be very helpfull in those stages ahead..
DeleteGetting 3 Chucks at stage 120 after about 70 times farming, in my experience, if someone have only stage farmable splash rangers, you should farm level 84 or below, because King Pig has lower HP, lower damage... but from stage 96 King Pig has really huge HP and Damage that he can blow my Candy Cony at level 60 away after 3 or 4 hits.
ReplyDeleteThe quick way to farm is deploying Mach Brown and Driver Brown right after the game start. Then generate your splash rangers as much as you can to destroy the foe tower fast.

ReplyDeleteI am starting to think level doesn't matter for odds of drops. It's only how much exp/money you want and how fast you can win that decides which level you do. It was the same for Norurun and Driver Brown.
DeleteFrom the daily rubies I got enough to do the 150 ruby gacha and got 1 Red. I have to say, at level 60 he's really unimpressive. He's too expensive for a tank with his HP (2.6M), considering even that much HP gets wiped out instantly in higher levels (grr 148... those stupid tomatoes). So unless you can power him up once or twice, I don't know if he's feasible at all for Wasteland.

ReplyDeleteIt depends on what your team needs more. Damage/Spam or Tank/Stall?
DeleteGo with Chuck if you need extra damage and a unit you can spam for the entirety of the game.
Go with Driver Brown if you don't need extra damage and want someone to stall in the front.
Driver Brown is useless now. If you master Chuck, you can get 3 of them out for every 1 Driver Brown, which is more HP AND some damage to boot. Maybe even 4, I think Driver Brown is 6 sec cooldown at master. Go with Chuck.

Since I already have decent attackers ( Lv 70 JoCo and lv 75 Mully) and HallCo as main splasher, I think I'll use Driver Brown and my lv 60 MT Brown (I wish I can get more MTB T_T) as my tanker, because I don't have fast tanker/ high hp tanker like Chichi, Dwight and Red of course

Need help my unit hanged after i save my line up. Then when it continued it say sell was completed then my limited master level rider edward was gone. What will i do to unsell it or get it back? Ive contacted the support but still no response since 2 nights ago.

ReplyDeleteFinally got my 5th Chuck, I was just farming 108 nonstop. Probably around 80 feathers, but I wasn't counting. He wrecks in PvP if someone only has MT Brown up front and no splashers... You can hold them off forever and build up your own splashers to break their line.

Chuck is really bad in PVP cause of dying fast but really useful in campaign mode. I've made a long road from 148 to 155 by: Scotch, Chuck, Driver Brown, Sorcerer Cony and HaCo 60.

DeleteMany people complain about the doomed PVP cause of no Red or HaCo, here is my opinion: LR always gives out new OP Rangers every month, so just save your rubies until next month, you could have better chance to buy better rangers for PVP or Story Mode.
ReplyDeleteEvery week, we get 30 free daily attendance rubies, and at least 20 rubies from PVP reward, but if you play a little hard on PVP, even without OP rangers you could get 30 rubies. So totally about 60 rubies per week, 240 rubies per month. That's enough to have at least 2 time to do the expensive spinning Gacha until the end of next month event time. It's fair enough for free players.
Does anyone see what the Friendship Gacha Special Event is about? Looking at the Gacha options, the Friendship one doesn't look like anything changed...

Around 15 hours ago, I opened 150 rubies too and didn't get Red. I only got Kung Fu Brown, Somchai, Maestro Boss, Legend Boss for the 5*. Before this, I have opened 4 8+2 gacha and only got 2 Red from the first and the second spin. I don't know if my luck is really bad or not, but last month I always got Candy from each gacha spin, so I could master her with only 4 spins or equal with 52 gacha.
DeleteI think you should try to earn one more Red, because the funny thing is Red at level 70 cost same mineral with 65 but stronger. So if you have one Red, you dont need to pay some bucks to buy more, because ranger at level 65 is stronger a little than 60 but more deploying cost, same cooling time. Therefore, u have op ranger at level 65 or 75, try to buy one more to complete it.
