Very BIG event indeed! Well... I don't know how to really feel about this given that I've personally thrown away tons of money trying to get Sorcerer Cony and finally got it with freely-gotten rubies the other day. Now this.
I guess it's a good thing overall since it levels the playing field a bit for most players. If you slugged all the way to Stage 100 without super crazy awesome rangers like I did, congratulations, Sorcerer Cony for your troubles! She'll make your life a lot easier going forward. But be warned: Sorcerer Cony is not going to give you an automatic win. You will still have to do the rest of the stages in Castle in the Sky with some diligence.
Also, if I'm understanding the Notice details correctly, I think the actual giveaway will be taking place later, after the event is over. So you have until May 30 to clear Stage 100, then on June 5 you will receive the Cony in your mailbox. So it actually won't help you at all today. Sorry. lol

And from what I am seeing on the internet, it appears all regions have gotten the 14 day log-in bonus of 10 rubies per day. Nice and all, but I still want my 300 ruby event that HK/Macau/Taiwan/Thailand got. Keep hoping...
On the "new Notice board" it also ominously talks about a "skyscraper" that the evil alien boss has built will be revealed... What skyscraper? What is it talking about? 10 areas?! Are they changing the old areas? Is the next area releasing soon? (We're at area 9 if you're counting). Are we going to rescue Sally?! It's all happening May 17. I can't wait!

I have seen that as well. I bought my stickers then like a month later they give it away for free. But at least I keep my stickers forever instead of the 180 day period or whatever. But with rangers... I guess we never know what they will do next.

It is wildly popular in the US (Line Rangers is not popular at all... ) and there is no "rescue mission" perse, but it similarly is made up of a lot of stages and you go through a map with lots of zones with cool names. I played that game before Rangers and seriously when my friend said at Stage 84 "Are we going to save Sally next release?" I said no, we're not saving her ever, miss. If Line Rangers is profitable, we could be playing this game for literally hundreds of stages and never save Sally. That duck will be eating dog food forever or starved to death by the time we save her...

At temple of ice we thought sorc cony will solve everything yet we find its still hard for standard lvl 50 sorc cony to beat altar of flame and castle
Similarly, now ksm, dancer king and hiphop makes everything looks easy but who knows about the upcoming 10 areas
Personally, i dont like endless games like temple run, subway surfers. And i hope line rangers will have an ending. Its better to create and turn line rangers like plants vs zombies

Line rangers make us think we will stuck at some stage forever but later we beat that stage, stuck again and thinking forever will stuck and then advance again to the next stage. It always repeat
Well i hope dont give us another 120 stages, i dont know how many times again we should spend for this game hahaha.
Now if we play a hard stage, the exp points only gain us 1 percent. (I am at level 68) Wew
For what it's worth, I think line has made altar and Castle stages interesting enough you have to think about which Rangers are best suited suited for the challenge. Yes, Cony made temple of ice really easy and some altar. But they designed the stages such that it plays to her weaknesses, so you are forced to think outside the box a little. They They cannot simply make enemies with more health and more dmg because if dancer king/hip hop/ksm cannot easily defeat it based on hp & dmg alone, then what hope do the rest of to the common Rangers have of proceeding at all? There is a balance, and if you have op Rangers you can tip it in your favor, but the stages must always be meaningful and worthwhile for majority of players in order to be successful. Their model is phone app game. It must be a game that can be picked up and put down in a a few minutes' time, and if someone is going to pick it up again, it must be addictive and fun. We have come 108 stages. We may see 100 more, and if the next 100 are fun and challenging in a meaningful way, I'll probably still be playing.
DeleteIt gets worse, smart. I farm stage 104, I get 1% every two clears. Lol... Takes forever. I wonder if the people who who are 80 sleep at all.
This event is good timing for me. I just reached stage 100 the other day I'll certainly complete that stage in time for the reward. I'm also annoyed we missed out on the 300 ruby events the other regions received. .

They just put xan so probably not a health Ranger. Maybe Masked moon, maybe Gentleman James? And then balance it out with a horrible one like 4 star Luke lol

DeleteWoke up this morning and defeated stage 100! Yes! My team was: Clara, Sindy, Fighter Moon, Sol & Warrior Jessica. I was on a high after that and completed stages 101 & 102 on my first attempt each one;) Time to start farming Xan . . .
ReplyDelete@ PanicButton I think putting a descent 4 star ranger like Opera James would be fair for the new stages. Charismatic Jessica would be asking for to much. Your probably right about them including Luke Lol.
Congrats! Sounds like a solid team. 101 and 102 are a relief after 100. IMO 104 is not quite as hard as 100. But it is totally different, can't compare apples and oranges.
DeleteOpera James might be a stretch, but I hope so. He is a fantastic ranger. James and I have been through many stages together. I would have given up a long time ago (before they gave away Clara, before they readjusted the obtainable rangers) if not for him!

ReplyDeleteI can relate to the way you feel about Opera James. . I have had Sindy from almost day one of playing line rangers,(I received a 300 rubies welcome) And she has been by far the most useful ranger I've had-used her in every single area so far.
I'm in the HK region, but I never got 300 rubies. What was the requirement?

DeleteWelcome! It would have made sense if Line Rangers put the June 5 date on their splash screen so everyone can see instead of burying the handout date inside the notice. But then that would make sense, wouldn't it? :X
