A quick check (but not a thorough one) revealed that:
- Dancer King Boss, Dwight, Sol, Xan, Sorcerer Cony, Gentlemen James, Thunder Brown, Charismatic Jessica, Cobe, Warrior Jessica, and Witch Cony got some minor DPS upgrades.
- Sol, Lia, Alice, Masked Moon, Legend Boss, Honey, Abdula, Sindy, Songster Cony, Opera James, Biker James, Ellin, Fighter Moon, General Brown, and Lightning Jessica got significant DPS upgrades.
The new treasure has been revealed. I'm not all too impressed with it and it doesn't seem very original seeing as how they tried to do it once before.
The new enemies are pretty funny. Particularly "Amber" the grey rabbit that throws rabbit dolls. Go read the description. It's really funny.
One of the new enemies does not appear to be playing by the age-old rule. Dice appears to be able to assault your long-range rangers and skip right over your front-line. :O The area seems quite tough. The front line takes a terrible beating from Ryo the mushroom guy.
Stage 124 Cleared with Master Dwight, Master Ola Brown, Master Songster Cony - Players with Master Dwight will rejoice. He's really powerful for this area.
The new obtainable 4 and 5 star rangers may be of interest to those who have missed out on the previous events. The new 5-star ranger is Sorcerer Cony and the new 4-star ranger is Macho Moon.
Anyway, I'm short of time to play today so unfortunately not much more commentary presently. More to come!

DeleteLooks like Gentleman James and Masked Moon both got nice boosts. Sol got a pretty big health boost at some point too. Last time I calculated attak and hp per crystal cost (shortly after the PVP/endless mode was released) I had Sol down as 567151 hp, now he has over 750k hp. Xan seems to have more HP too. So there have been unannounced changes.

It went fine until 124 for me, and I though that for people that had Cherina master could go on until 132
i finished 132 with items and master cherina only.. but i cant do it anymore now since they seem to increase the HP tower or reduce cherina's damage.. but i was lucky to be able getting 88% of treasure before they changed it..

The mushrooms are obliterating me (and I don't seem to be alone on this!) Gold Brown popped in on 121 and was crushed by the 'shrooms almost before I could blink. That's some scary damage. My highest HP ranger is the newly buffed Sol, and I may as well be tanking with lowbies.

While I've yet to try the new stages yet, its probably a good thing that alot more strategy is required for the game. Those of us who are hardcore players are then happy to continue grinding, trying new approaches and team balances and ultimately - spending more money for the game.

And I think that just because someone has Susu mastered doesn't automatically entitlte them to just breeze through the stages. In hearing this, it actually makes me a litle bit happier.

A different point of view regarding strategy:

People above are offering strategies that involve all the powerful splash rangers, for example, or a mastered Cherina. Very different to the days when strategy meant grabbing a Warrior Jessica or a Clara from one of the boss stages.
In any case, when even the Gold Brown can't survive more than a few seconds, and his entire purpose is to act as a massive overpowered tank, it does suggest something is skewed power-wise!
now I'm stuck at stage 123, the monster dice it really sucks, a variety of strategies I've tried but still failed, golden brown just became a trash on the field, the power is not balanced between the ranger with monsters, imagine it took five to ten ranger sacrificed even more for defeat one enemy, the splash ranger was also useless because long cooldown, maybe I should wait to see WEI S strategy in completing the stage

It's only been 12 hours. It takes time to ram your head against a challenge before you get it right. It's probably not impossible, just not there yet. We waited weeks for this. I don't know about you, but I don't really want to be done with the new area in less than a day.
DeleteI don't want it to be easy either, but as someone who can't justify putting even a cent into the game, it's natural to be nervous when the current balance is geared to challenging those with Master super rangers! For example, I initially was pleased to pick up Luis this time around, after a month and a half since my last useful Gacha result... Then it sunk in that a 60 Luis is still fodder in stages 120+. I find the PvP dull and repetitive, so I'm really wanting to milk as much fun as I can from the new stages, but at the moment it seems all I can do is wait for more rubies and another double 5* event, as all my rangers are maxed. But I want to play! :)
DeletePanic your list of upgraded rangers says that only DPS changed, Sol's DPS went from 37k to 39k, I would not call that a significant upgrade by any stretch. It was his HP that had the significant upgrade. Xan is in the same boat, negligible DPS change, significant HP upgrade, he has over 800k HP now, but still gets owned by those mushrooms. Seems the rangers team have taken to heart the previous update criticism of the new stages being too easy, and just made them impossible instead >.<

ReplyDeleteI passed 120 using a mastered Shu, a mastered lowbie (I used Glenn) and a lot of spamming - basically sending both out non-stop, using the powerups at the critical moments, and hoping for the best. The hardest enemy in Skyscraper for me was always the blue mini-boss (Navy?). The poodle boss has fearsome splash, but with Shu's superior range, she just wasted her time throwing herself on the lowbies.

I did that with 3 lowbies (Scott, Bella, and Glenn) and 2 long rangers (Witch Cony and Opera James). Not sure if it helps ... after I use the first tornado, when the enemies going to attack your long rangers, use I ice, and then invincibility and meteors together. If you have a mastered Shu it should be easier (I cleared 120 before Shu first appeared)

Agree, Ola in FP gacha would not only infuriate the people who did spend the money on him when he was "limited edition" but would severely undercut the game's credibility as to what "limited edition" means. If it means a month later you can get it practically for free, then why bother paying now?

DeleteBelieve that strategy is no longer viable. It was only valid for the first 60 to 90 minutes post release. Developers quickly hit 132 with the hammer of doom after most people early on passed it by cleaving tower.

ReplyDelete5 of them instant kill all your ranged rangers, luis, ksm, doesn't matter. only ola and dsb are safe, because of the range. And the rabbits push on the front line too constantly, dwight and susu dont seem to be a problem for them too, so ola and dsb will die a bit after they pushed. Seems whirlwind, ice, invincibility and then mass cherina/dumpy plus other heavy hitters is the only viable option now.
Everytime i log in they are updating, so seems they are still working out the balancing. Which is still terrible now.
I just hate the dice. I am still at 123 because when I kill 1 dice, wait for a short while, another one just come out, cannot pass 123, gold brown arrived but no luck:(

I've been forever stuck on level 116 and even after getting some good 5 stars out of the gatcha, I still stuck with the same team. I got sick of not being able to beat the level and ended up beating it following WEI S strategy using 2 fodder rangers, which is really upsetting. Now I'm stuck on 120 but I guess I'm about to do the same with that one too. I have a line friend that already beat all the new levels. Looking at his stats he has a mastered cherina, and thats all he needed to pass all of the levels. Mine's only level 60. Must be nice

DeleteI believe in this area, timing, aside from precise ranger selection, are once again a very deciding factor for those without mastered premium rangers. Tried 122 and 123 several times with the some rangers combination and finally get over them. The freebies and Sol did pretty helpful though. 124 definitely need some heavy tanker though, haven't figure out which droppable rangers can be used to substitute master-bernard or master-dwight...
ReplyDeleteTotally agree. From all the videos I saw, Mastered Dwight or Susu are the only two which could hold the front line for a bit (even Golden Brown becomes a toy in front of mushroom guys). But that is half of the picture though, one needs some mastered long-ranged splashers with high DPS - like Ola Brown - in order to make the plan work. I tried many times with Mastered Dwight, Mastered SongCo and Mastered Shu (didn't have Ola Brown mastered) and have been unsuccessful in getting stage 124. There are no strategy for free rangers discovered at this moment.

Same situation here. Ola is the one splasher with attack speed, long range and DPS necessary to counter the dices. Even mastered Shu of higher health gets eradicated the very moment the front line gets pushed.

My Bernard is only lv70/70. I don't have ANY rangers such as Olá Brown, HipHop Brown, Susu, Hitman, Dwight... So I play mostly with free rangers and the help of my unmastered best premium rangers which are Bernard (70, as previously stated), Cherina (60), KSM (65), Dancer King Boss (60), Dumpy (60) and Sorcered Cony (75).
There's NO WAY I can pass this stage or others more difficult to come if they don't lower the difficulty or someone finds a exploitable blind spot, which still hasn't happened for the time being. Without cheating, of course.
If they're waiting for me to BUY rubies, well, they can wait until they die of old age as long as they don't change the gacha system so it WON'T hand me whatever rangers I have mastered already. That's crucial for me and it should be for anyone, SPECIALLY big spenders whose chances of getting new rangers are ridiculous because the number of rangers grow but they have every other one mastered currently, and the odds of getting the new rangers is confirmed to be lower.
Therefore, given my luck in gacha, I won't pay a single dime for a bunch of pews and danes. So, if I can't pass, I won't pay. I'll just quit and play some other thing than makes more sense.

@dali i was lucky and the most importance is patience... wait until there is special event where there are double bonus to buy ruby (195 ruby for 21. something $ ) and only gacha on special events, and know when to stop spinning gacha (i got four 5* and two 4* in one spin, and i didn't continue thinking i'm on a lucky strike...and wait for another double chance) adding the ruby you get from completing stages and winning a special place in a battle, i'm sure you get lots of chance to get a nice rangers... youtube how to gacha properly, i know it might seems silly since its random, but hey, i got nice rangers following his method. even as i got 2 gacha ticket from line few days ago, i got prince james by following that method...and i will never step into thousand bucks area... 40-50 is my limit for a game, as i consider it similar to cost of a nice Wii/PS4 disc...

Oneng, again, don't worry. 600-700 rank is very high, IMHO, specially if you don't have much free time, like me. I'm always on the edge of 20k rank, somethmes 30 rubies, sometimes 40. For instance, today I'm ranking 22k and I think it's gonna stay like that, sadly.
DeleteI found some of those "methods" on youtube, yes, and I don't trust them. I don't believe that there is nothing but randomness and therefore luck involved in the premium gacha.
What I am saying is that the way in which gacha works is not reasonable, and it becomes less and less reasonable with each new upgrades because if the number of rangers keeps growing, and the chances of getting the newest ones are lower (point confirmed by line people in private to some players), getting the new ones is VERY hard and requires a LOT of cash, not to everyone of course, there's people who win the lottery with worse odds, but as average. Just dig into this very same spot some articles on the math required to calculate the odds of getting new rangers and the amount of cash you need to spend as an average in order to get them mastered, and you'll see what I'm talking about.
The system I proposed is much more equitative and respectful with everyone:
For players that don't spend much, or nothing, the odds are the same, but discarding the farmable rangers which everyone shoult try to master first thing. Specially the three starred ones which are available in free gacha as well.
For players that have spent A LOT it's a way to guarantee that they'll always get the newest stuff as a reward of their continuous commitment to the game.
But, as it is now, I can predict that most big spenders will stop wasting their money, because they will have ridiculous odds of getting something that they didn't have already, and people who has spent little or nothing so far won't start now that it's getting harder. We will continue collecting free rubies and eventually maybe get bored, quit, and let the game die, which is not desirable as a developer.
I don't know if you're getting my point, but I think that it's quite obvious, actually.

ReplyDeleteI don't know for certain but when I encountered that I hit cancel immediately. I did it once for a crazy account and it did not end well, lost everything. The way I have safely done it before is by registering an email + Facebook, and then choosing to log into the new device via Facebook. Then it did not ask that question and just happily went in. It's cryptic and scary.

It deletes your chats on the other phone, but you can still log in with all your info on the other device. I frequently switch from my phone to Bluestack (android on PC) and its only slightly a pain to log in back and forth. Long as you dont need to keep chat history, it saves all data. The data for rubies and such are saved on the server, not locally, or we'd be able to hack the game very easily.
DeleteNot sure if this helps or not, but my partner uses his iPhone and iPad to play Line Rangers. He has only LINE installed on his iPhone and Line Rangers on both the iPhone and iPad.
DeleteWhenever he wants to switch devices, he has to log back in. So on the iPad he uses his email address. When he goes back to his iPhone, he allows LINE to communicate with Line Rangers again and logs in that way.
But try not to install LINE onto both devices, because that is when you'll be asked to delete all your LINE information from the other device. You only lose chat history and media etc, nothign else.
Hmm that's interesting. Didn't know if you could play without installing Line.

DeleteI have tried moving the game from android to iphone just last month and found online info all pointing to the fact that game data such as rangers and progression will be preserved as it is stored on game servers.
However, rubies will be lost when switching OS. I used up the rubies had was left with 3.
Switched the line account over first, then activated the game. Line chat data had to be activated first. And it was set up and re-logged in via email.
Next was the game. After it started up I found myself with 10 rubies.
My personal experience.
I also changed device, from ipad to Android.
DeleteI still had everything, but some of the free rubies were gone. 100 to be exact. So i logged back in to the IOS device and there were the 100 rubies. It seems that all data is shared by line, except most of the free rubies. They are given to your IOS game center account or your Google play account. I used all 100 rubies on IOS and then i logged back in on Android, and still had the new rangers.

Seems like LINE killed 2 birds with one stone here cos everybody was sitting at stage 120 waiting for new stages and they couldn't keep up. So now either you pay up for gacha or it'll take a long while to clear these new stages.
Well, as I just said above, I won't buy rubies if they don't change premium gacha to not hand me rangers that I have mastered already (like pets in Cookie Run, which is the ONLY reasonable way to go).

Yep, I've stopped buying too. Just spend the 400+ I've gotten from Battle and got about 7-8 5stars all of which I've already mastered. Don't even get a single one I need.

The 1st relies on using a friend with maxed premium rangers.
DeleteThe 2nd relies on level 99 maxed crystal upgrades.
New areas are just cash grabs. Impossible without paying for the best newest rangers.
My mineral levels are 84 speed and 85 storage. I have not any mastered premium ranger, and I passed 123. If I don't recall wrong, I used SoCo 75, mastered Opera James, mastered Shu, Thunder 70 and Cherina 60, which I barely used on the stage. I'm sure that there are many other combinations that work. Stages from 124 are another story. There, I agree with you, and I'm quiting from the game myself if they don't lower the difficulty, but current 123 is still doable with reasonable mineral level and combinations of rangers that most players have.

DeleteI just passed stage 124 after lots of feathers and coins spent, following Wei S' method on youtube. DKB was being used so it's not totally using "free" rangers. Gold Brown's appearance is once again vital (aside from using a friend's help with mastered dwight and/or susu)
DeleteNah, I cleared the stage too, following the method in the video, 7 times, and I only got Golden Brown the very first once. Besides, at the seventh try I got the only SoCo I needed from the roulette, so I won't have to try again, yoohooo!

ReplyDelete124 is way too impossible for me.... a mastered Dwight only lasts a few seconds. I can handle that fine. What irritates me is the moment he gets pushed back anyone aside from Ola gets killed because the dice guys have such crazy splash range. I think you need a Mastered Dwight and at least a 70 Ola Brown to get by this. Ive been trying with M. Shu and M. SongCo and they just get whooped the first moment dwight gets pushed back. It's quickly becoming too tedious for me.

DeleteActually, I think Luis (using) and Manager's (used before ) jumping is just an animation. The picture still turns red from an attack. If the attack is lethal, the animation is still interrupted and the unit dies before making the attack. Maybe I'm just seeing things.

DeleteWhile it's obviously one's own choice on spending money, I am with Dali here. Unfortunately, with the current system, it's hard to justify spending anymore cash here. Thankfully, they give out rubies through many means now, so we do have choices not to spend cash and just patiently collecting free rubies. One problem with the new area is that, certain mastered premium rangers is required to pass the entire area. And this, in some ways, isn't really a fair system. Those without the needed master ranger will either have to use hard-earned cash or patiently saving those hard-earned free rubies (or wait till they balance out the area, just like what they did to the previous areas after some time)

Did the developer tune down the mineral production rate or increase the cooldown of some rangers? I find I cannot spam my tank rangers as fast as before - fortunately, as Shuy1n pointed out, they did adjust the enemies' stats closer to sanity (still insane to me).

ReplyDeletehi everyone, do any of u have cherina and have acquired the maze of illusion's treasure? i wonder if they reduce cherina's attack speed.. when they first release maze of illusion, i managed to get 88% of the treasure and feels cherina did attack faster.. but then they nerf and change the tower HP couple hours later.. since then, i feel like the treasure has no effect on cherina .. cmiiw..

seems 4 of them are close range... try to switch luis or dumpy to other long range hitter.. best is single hit.. if u see panic's previous post, splash only does 15% dmg from displayed dps at the moment since last week..

Deletei have tried several combination of mastered susu and 2 long range hitter (not mastered) to finish this stage..
those long range are any 2 of the following rangers, ola brown / shu / dkb / prince james.. u can switch these to other long range ranger hitter that doesnt get splashed by the dice..
fyi, i only use 3 rangers i mentioned above and finished it without using item.. i focused on spamming susu to keep the enemy far away from my hitter. If u dont have master susu, u can switch it to 3 of these tank / semi tank such as xan, masked moon, sol, bernard, dwight, thunderbrown, etc..
imo, with this combination and some item, i believe u can clear the stage.. just make sure u dont lose ur long range hitter..
