Treasure Treasure Treasure

Last Updated: December 17, 2014

The Treasure feature in the game is quite mysterious. The game doesn't explain much, so you are left to draw your own conclusions as you play the game. First of all, if you are missing any piece of treasure, you must replay the stages where you are missing 3-star pieces of treasure over and over. You will eventually acquire the missing pieces, but there is no telling how many times you need to play it since it is random. Remember, Wednesday (Japan local time) is double treasure chance day so it may be best to do it then.

In the later zones of the game, collecting all the pieces that assemble Treasures will help a lot. If you are stuck on a stage, I would recommend checking if you're missing any Treasure and going back to those stages to farm for them.

You get a small chance to get a piece of Treasure after clearing each stage. I don't know what the exact chance is, but I'd guess in the 10% range. I don't know what determines the number of stars you get for each piece, though. You must clear the stage to get a chance to win anything, but I have a theory that the game "remembers" how many times you attempted a stage and lost. In recent memory, I've had this happen:
  • Got stuck for long periods of time at Stage 60, 71, 76, and 81. Tried countless times on each stage. Immediately after clearing those stages for the first time, I got 1 or 2 star pieces of Treasure.
So my theory is, suppose you lose a difficult stage over and over -- if you would have won a piece of Treasure that round, you still "keep" it, and you'll acquire it when you finally clear the stage. I have no proof this is true, just my own experience of strangely getting lots of Treasure after beating a hard stage. It was the icing on the cake, to get Treasure after finally beating something I was stuck on for so long.

As soon as you unlock all 3 sections of a Treasure, it will kick in. To get the full benefit from it, you'll need to get all 3 stars from each of the three sections of the zone. If you have not unlocked at least 1 star from all three sections, the Treasure will not be active and you will not benefit from it.

By the way, to add to the confusion of the treasures, when you acquire 1 or 2 star pieces, the name of the item changes. So for instance, the first piece for the first section of Windy Valley is [1 star] piece of paper (I think, I don't remember for sure), [2 star] paper plane, and finally [3 star] paper crane. Naming the pieces of each step is kind of wacky, maybe just cute, though none of it matters. The only thing that matters is how many stars you acquired and how many sections you've unlocked for the big Treasure in each zone.

Anyway, on to the list.

    1. It does alot that one and the hermes sandal make lots of difference once you have them 100% levels that seem imposssible get lot easier

  2. My friends and I did an experiment to find out how much the Ranger HP treasure helps.

Using Styne against the stage 48 boss both before and after treasure set was complete, we conclude that at 100% treasure, ranger health is doubled (withstands double the number of stage 48 red boss attacks)

    1. Thanks. That's an incredible boost. Imagine Bernard or Dwight after treasure at max level...
Anyone else confirm this so the blog admin can add this to the table?

  3. A tip which I read from a gaming forum: use low stars rangers to complete those stages and your chances of getting 3-stars treasures increases. Haven't tried it though.

    1. I think I'd like to say I debunked this theory. I used some really low level, one and two star rangers on a different account to try this out and the treasures in zone 1 were still totally random and did not feel like it was any easier to obtain than my higher level account. It still took many feathers, many clears to get it. Random is random!

    2. Thanks for the debunk!

  4. What do you think about the last treasure? Even after having 100% of it, it's hardly noticeable. Attack speed doesn't seem to be increasing, at least visually.

    1. Yep, I think the last Treasure seems doesn't work yet. I have compare Id with 100% skyscraper Treasure with not, both rangers seem have same attack speed.

    2. Haven't figured out what it does exactly yet.

  5. Sir, I want to ask you something. My LINE Ranger is level 54 and my treasure that not complete yet is at : windy valley 77%, mysterious forest 77%, midnight theme park 77%. I want to get the remaining treasure of that 3 place. Can you tell me what should I do? thanks :) (sorry for my bad english)

    1. You just have to find out from the Treasure screen from which stages you are missing 3 star treasures. Then replay those groups of stages over and over until you get it. It is random.

  6. My Castle in the Sky treasure is not "increased Rangers ATK". Instead mine says "Increase Weapon Recharge Time". What is that and why is different then the one shown above? Is this a regional thing maybe?

    1. No idea. What region are you in? Is it in a different language? I've not yet heard of different regions having different treasure effects. Can you link a screenshot somewhere we can see?

    2. See if this link works. Also I live in Canada.

    3. Thanks for the screenshot. That's the strangest thing I've ever seen. To my knowledge Castle in the Sky was never supposed to be about weapon speed. The only thing I can deduce is that it is similar to Skyscraper's original treasure, increase of attack speed, which never panned out. Are you using the current release of the game? Setting > button right corner. Current Version is 1.0.7.

    4. Yes I'm using the current version 1.0.7. I feel ripped off. :(

    5. Seems really odd. How about contact Line and ask them why your version is different? Or maybe reinstall the game? Your Rangers and currency are stored on their game servers so I don't think it will affect your progress if you reinstall.

  7. I have a problem here, because my temple of ice treasure is already 100% and its supposed to give you more HP. But my rangers' HP still stays the same before and after the treasure is 100%. What do you think I should do?

    1. It won't show you the treasure effects on the profile. The profile shows you the base stats before any treasure benefits.

  8. For the Desert Lab zone, the benefit is stated that it increases mineral acquired when defeating enemies. What does it mean?

    1. Maybe I don't understand the question?
It means when you kill an enemy unit, you recover more minerals than you normally would without the treasure.
